Metaverse is a virtual world that we can enter using a number of technological and digital devices. It’s a place where you have the ability and power to do things you could never do in the real world without leaving your home. The process towards a better awareness of this new virtual world is called “Metaversing”.
METAVERSING4YOUTH is an Operating Grant coordinated by AIFED and supported by a network of 13 organizations from 13 countries across Europe. The project harnesses the potential of the metaverse as an innovative space where young people can connect, interact, and participate in democratic life beyond physical borders. The project combines in-person activities with immersive metaverse experiences, offering new opportunities for young people, especially those who are vulnerable or underrepresented, to express their ideas, connect with other young people, and contribute to policy debates at the local, national, and European levels.
Through debates and discussions on European policies aimed at young people, capacity-building courses for youth workers, cultural and educational activities, and cross-border cooperation, METAVERSING4YOUTH aims to empower young people to play an active role in shaping the future of Europe.

Metaversing - Cultural
In this activity, each country in the network will design virtual experiences in the metaverse to showcase their respective cultures and traditions. Each partner will host an online meeting within a virtual classroom in the metaverse and will be responsible for creating a virtual experience about their culture and traditions. This may include activities, presentations, videos, and other interactive elements to introduce their country.

Heroes Among Us
Metaversing exhibition honoring the role of the youth in responding to the unprecedented 2024 floods in Spain, sharing their stories and photographs of their community involvement.

This space was created to showcase how young people, from their diverse realities and contexts, perceive and project security in their urban environments. Through photography, the exhibition highlights good practices, innovative ideas, and creative proposals that invite reflection on the construction of safer and more inclusive cities.
Digital Memories
The Digital Memories: Europe Through the Decades exhibition will feature historical photographs of Europe from 30-40 years ago, showcasing various generations together. The aim is to reflect on past security practices and generational perspectives, fostering a dialogue on how these have evolved over time.
