BOMA – BODY, MIND AND AI

BOMA - BODY, MIND AND AI

Erasmus+ 2025-DE02-KA210-ADU-000363452

This project aims to professionalise and raise awareness among all individuals and organisations involved in the use of AI in education and counselling. Participants from the counselling, education, and experiential learning sectors will discuss questions and concerns about AI with experts.

The main outcome will be a position paper summarising perspectives and recommendations, serving as a guide for partner organisations and networks. Through exchanges with AI experts, participants will gain a better understanding of where and how AI can be applied safely, effectively, and responsibly, strengthening counselling and education practices. This will enhance the resilience and capabilities of partner organisations while fostering staff competencies in accordance with ethical guidelines and best practices.

  • The target group of this project is:
Staff from partner organisations who will integrate the results and share knowledge across institutions.
Adult learners and clients who will benefit from interaction with professionals.

AI is increasingly present in our daily lives and has already become indispensable for many people. While AI offers new possibilities, practising coaches, counsellors, and educators often struggle to assess its benefits and potential risks. The limitations of virtual learning and guidance become apparent when compared to experiential education. This project addresses these challenges by fostering dialogue with AI experts, encouraging critical thinking, and developing the skills necessary for the effective use of AI while upholding the value of human-centred methods.

Collaboration with a transnational partner always adds value to the project. Each partner brings a unique perspective and expertise that others lack:

AIFED brings extensive experience in adult education.

Systeme in Bewegung and Empoderar work in similar fields but with very different approaches (one focuses on the body and experience, while the other focuses on learning theory and behavior).

The AI Foundation contributes knowledge of the latest advances in AI.

Furthermore, international exchange brings the value of diverse cultural backgrounds and working methods, deepening and enriching collaboration in ways that purely national cooperation cannot achieve.

– Digital Transformation: The project supports organizations in addressing the professional development challenges posed by digital transformation.
– Inclusion and Diversity: AI can lead to greater inclusion and accessibility.
– Environment and Sustainability: The project encourages reflection on the environmental impact of AI and promotes sustainable practices in partner organizations.
– Participation, Shared Values, and Civic Engagement: The project fosters critical thinking about the risks of AI related to disinformation and manipulation, while also considering that, if used appropriately, AI can help improve citizens’ understanding of the European Union and foster a sense of belonging.
