Project: “Singing and Making Melody in your Heart”

Our idea was reflected in a 2-year schedule of the Project, divided also in four (4) semesters. Previously, the Committee had to answer the most crucial question: what does the entire European and much more the global community have in common, that already preexists in any local or regional environment and so it could be directly accessible? How any local cultural tradition could be the entrance to the history and culture of the whole humanity? Which monuments or historical figures of our Greco-Roman and Christian world could be presented as symbols of universal values? As the European school community living in the postmodern age do, we need to rediscover, share and rethink of our ancient, medieval and modern heritage? However, we are looking for the meeting point of all cultures, the simplest international language. It is no other than the Art itself.
Our schedule consists of four (4) major Semesters, each of which has its distinct requirements and goals. During a Semester, teachers and students will have to conclude a specific program (courses, workshops, educational programs etc.), which is to be presented afterwards through a festival and a scientific conference. All programs are addressed directly to the involved school’s community, but also to the broader community through the mass media and social media.

ON JULY 4, WE PRESENTED THE RESULTS OF OUR PROJECT TO FUTURE TEACHERS AND PROJECT TECHNICIANS.

On 4th July, AIFED invited to dissemination activities in Granada. Musicians and teachers from Spain, Italy, France and Germany participated and discussed the potentials of music education.

While the musicians presented the characteristics of the musical culture of their countries, the teachers shared their experiences with music in classrooms and didactic concepts.

As an activity, there was a guided tour through the city, in which the historical sights as well as the possibilities for musical education were presented.

At the end of the day, the participants showed their skills and organised a small concert, which brought a lot of joy for everyone.

AIFED thanks all participants and looks forward to future meetings.

LTTA in Greece, Trikala

During the days 22/11/21 - 26/11/21 the consortium met to celebrate this LTTA of the project.

Students from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Greece, as well as teachers and members of the consortium, attended the photo exhibition " Depicting angels in paintings" led by Music High School of Trikala. The students shared ideas, created and shaped figures of angels and then presented their works.

Thanks to music teacher Dr. Ioannis Spyrakis, the participants had the opportunity to learn about music production made with synthesizer and computer sounds and computer music production composed of recorded sounds from a monastery.

In addition, the Trikala Music School offered the group a concert with the participation of the different musical ensembles of the school.

THE SCHOLA PUERI CANTORES DE LA CATEDRAL DE GRANADA that will represent us at the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF KAVALA organized within the framework of our project SINGING AND MAKING MELODY IN YOUR HEART from May 6 to 11, 2020 has begun the trials for their participation.

Within the framework of the SINGING AND MAKING MELODY IN YOUR HEART Project, in which AIFED is one of the partners, the SCHOLA PUERI CANTORES DE LA CATEDRAL DE GRANADA, will represent Spain at the International Festival in honor of the Apostle Saint Paul and in commemoration of Mikis Theodorakis, May 6 to 11, 2020.
